WHAT ARE CRYSTALS
Share
Crystals are solid substances that have atoms, molecules, or ions arranged in an orderly repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions. They are minerals formed underground from the cooling and hardening of magma and other geological processes. Crystals have been used for centuries for their healing properties, energy, and beauty.
They typically have one or more flat faces which meet at exact angles. These planes are referred to as “facets”, and the way these facets meet is known as a “crystal structure”. The physical properties of crystals make them useful for many applications, including for use in electronics and medical treatments. Crystals can also be used to store energy, create musical instruments, or even simply decorate homes and offices. They are also used extensively in spiritual practices around the world as a way of harnessing the power of the natural world.
